Crigg under 8s ever improving squad gave Knottingley a tough game on Sunday full of precision tackles and barnstorming runs.  Milo Kirkpatrick and Stephen Gibbs both had good all round games and Joe Crabtree scored an amazing try that involved 5 Crigg players pushing him over the line.  Holly Boyce won player of the match for an outstanding contribution whilst Niall Fitzsimons (Top Tackler) and Lewis Deakin (Most Improved) also shone.

Crigglestone All Blacks U9s got back to winning ways with a great team performance away at Castleford Panthers. Against a good passing side, a strong and cohesive defensive line was needed and the team provided just that. All players upped their tackle count and few gaps were afforded to the Panthers. Defensive performances of particular note came from Sam Johnson and Billy Greensmith (Top Tackler).

In attack Cigg's forwards (Sam Tallant, Cameron Adderley) set up excellent field position, allowing Henry Firth (Man of the Match at acting half), to send Theo Kirkpatrick, Jordon Boyce and Liam Senior (3) in for tries. Other tries came from Firth and Tallant, with Owen Hinchcliffe once again winning Most Improved Player for a good all
around game.

Congratulations to all the U9s on a superb first half of the season.

A depleted U12s battled hard in the mud to go down to York Acorn.  Man of the Match Darryl Seaton led form the front with a non-stop effort.  Crigg's try came from, top tackler Arron Cockell who made a fine burst through the line and powerhouse prop Max Tallant was back to his best being judged Most Improved.

Crigglestone All Blacks U13s turned in a superb performance to overcome Hunslet Parkside in this top of the table clash.  Captain Jack Wilks marshalled the team well, with some tremendous driving from Matty Marsden and all the home forwards gradually wearing down the visitors, who failed to score in the second half despite the advantage of the conditions. When Parkside did have possession the home defence was solid, with Nick Taylor once again topping the tackle count.

Luke Drury caught the eye with a hat-trick to take the man of the match award, the pick of these coming straight from a Parkside kick off when  he collected the ball on his own 25 and danced his way through the opposition defence.  James Thornton found space out wide late in the first half to score in the corner, and peg back Parkside who had taken the lead midway through the half.  Connor Walsh returned to the team with some barnstorming runs, and was rewarded with a second half try.  Matthew Mosley worked tirelessly throughout, and crashed his way over for a well earned score.  Martin Robinson and Leo Peat shared the kicking duties with 4 conversions to stretch the final score to 32-10 and send Crigg to the top of the table.

Persistence paid off for Crigg U15s as they went down 38-4 to Walton.  Despite being 12-0 down within five minutes, Crigg never let their heads drop and continued to try and implement what their coach had asked of them.  Finally in the last minute a concerted chase by the pack forced an error in the Walton defence and Richard Moody went over for the try.  Crigg's 1,2, 3 for the match were Rob Hallas, Craig Lees and Jonathan Wootton.
