Junior Fixtures 13h/14th January 2007

Crigg All Blacks U12s won a tight game at Heworth with a sensational try from inspirational captain Arron Cockell.  The heavy pitch ensured that the game was always going to be a hard slog, and there was no score, until Cockell broke the deadlock after 20 minutes with a try in the corner, which Jordan Bashforth was unable to convert.  Heworth tried a short kick-off from the restart, which George Nuttall regathered.  From a quick play the ball top tackler Darryl Seaton raced 25 metres before Joe Batchelor was sent in for Crigg's second try, converted this time by Bashforth.

Heworth got back in the game in the second half with a try from close range, but Man of the match Cockell settled matters with a run from the base of the scrum on the Crigg line, handing off  Heworth's centre on the way.  Again Bashforth converted to stretch the lead to 16-6.  Heworth scored in the last minute, but it was little more than consolation, as Crigg held on to win 16-12.

Jacob Woodward was Crigg's most improved on only his second game, with some solid running and tackling.

This "away" fixture was reversed to Crigg due to weather problems on Leeds pitches.
This was a great under 15s game with the result hanging in the balance until the last minute.
Crigg played into a howling gale and only conceded two tries in the first half turning 0-10 at the break.
A much higher confidence level saw great endeavour and debutant Richard Pearson crossed in the corner and then converted to narrow the gap. Oulton hit back but never say die Crigg saw good work from Billy Griffiths and Dale Powers result in Richard Moody crossing out wide.
Big prop Jordan Foster worked to a standstill typifying the mind set of this new team. Rob Hallas crossed and Richard Pearson converted to narrow the  gap but a final score by the visitors ended the game.
Powerful prop Tom Sutcliffe was back in action after a few weeks out and returned to grab the top tackler award.
