Saturday 28th October

Max Tallent and Joe Turgoose set the platform for a much-improved performance from Crigg U12s.  Flying wingers Jamie Searby and George Nuttall both scored tries as Crigg returned to the expansive game, sadly lacking in last week's shock cup defeat at Walton.  Second row Jordan Hargreaves scored a brace and hooker Joe Batchelor was also on the score sheet as Crigg ran out 30-6 winners against Thornhill.  Jordan Bashforth scored the other try and three goals in what was a fine effort from the whole team.

Saturday 7th October

The U12s had another fine win at home to Heworth.  Two tries from Man of the Match Arron Cockell, one from Top tackler Jordan Hargreaves and further tries from Eddie Medforth and Jordan Bashforth, who also kicked two goals saw Crigg home 24-22.  George Nuttall once again was named Most Improved.

Saturday 30th September

The Under 12s put in a fine performance to win 38-4 at Selby.  A tight first half saw Crigg just 12-4 ahead at the break, but a powerful forward display in the second stanza, set the platform for a try-scoring spree.  Man of the Match, Billy Pearson and Jordan Hargreaves scored a couple of tries each, with the other tries coming from top tackler Arron Cockell, Oliver Hopwood and Jordan Bashforth who added four goals. George Nuttall was judged most improved player for a fine effort at
loose forward.

Saturday 23rd September

A below par performance by the Under 12s saw them sink to an 18-0 home defeat by Shaw Cross.  Matty Goodall had a fine game at fullback with numerous last ditch tackles to keep the score down.  The only other highlights were the continued improved performances of centre Michael Greensmith and high tackle counts by Eddie Medforth and Arron Cockell.

Saturday 16th September

The Under 12s lost 12-6 at York Acorn as they moved up to 13 a-side rugby.  Arron Cockell was the stand out player, winning both the top tackler and man of the match awards.  Eddie Medforth scored Crigg's try and Jordan Bashforth goaled, but slow defence allowed a well drilled Acorn side over for three tries.

U11s Presentation Night

French Internationals Olivier Elima and Maxime Greseque were the special guests at Crigglestone All Blacks U11s presentation.  The two Wakefield Trinity Wildcats' players took time out from their busy schedule to present the awards on Saturday night.  The award for 'Best Endeavour' went to Arron Cockell, 'Clubman of the Year' was Jordan Bashforth,
whilst Eddie Medforth was judged the 'Most Improved'.  'Player of the Year' was Jordan Hargreaves.

Saturday 17th/Sunday 18th June

The Under 11s battled hard against a strong Victoria Gladiators team, but a lack of substitutes told in the end.  Missing seven regulars Crigg kept Victoria at bay in the first half, but as tiredness set in the result was never in doubt.  Captain Jordan Hargreaves led from the front and set up the try for George Nuttall.  Arron Cockell tackled his heart out in a fine
display whilst man of the match Matty Goodall had a stand-out game at
fullback.

Saturday 10th/Sunday 11th June

Max Tallant captained the U11s in scorching weather at York Acorn, in a game of few chances.  Man of the match Arron Cockell was non-stop in both attack and defence, alongside top tackler Jordan Hargreaves.  Joe Turgoose and Hargreaves got the tries, with conversions from Jordan Bashforth and Lewis Williams.  Adam Langrick, surely the smallest prop
in the league, was chosen as the most improved.

Saturday 20th May

The pouring rain didn't spoil a great game as Crigglestone All Blacks U11s overcame a strong Knottingley side.  Excellent ball handling skills were on display from both sides as they held onto the ball in atrocious conditions.  Top tackler Darryl Seaton scored two tries as did Man of the Match Max Tallant, who also converted his first.  Flying winger Eddie Medforth and hard running Matty Goodall scored a try a piece. Most Improved player Michael Greensmith tackled his heart out, as did captain George Nuttall who ensured his team continued their fine form of recent weeks.

Crigglestone All Blacks Juniors on tour

Juniors from two of Crigglestone's teams recently took part in the club's spring tours.  This year's tours to Scotland and Ireland followed their visit to Wales in 2005.  "The tours have become a bit of an annual event at the club, and the players look forward to going somewhere different each year", said junior coach Brian Davies.

The U11s stopped off in Cumbria to play Penrith Pumas on their way up to Scotland.  Staying on the edge of Loch Lomond, the squad rested up before taking part in a rugby league festival at Easterhouse Panthers in Glasgow.  "Everyone had a great weekend, and going away together was great for team spirit with all the players and parents thoroughly enjoying themselves.  The team performed very well, winning all four games and conceding only three tries", added Davies.

Man of the match against Penrith was Darryl Seaton, whilst man of the festival was Lewis Williams.

The Under 11s continued their fine form on tour when they returned to regular league action against Garforth Tigers.  A very tight game played with total commitment by both sides was only settled in the last minute. Tries by George Nuttal, Conor Mcabe and Jordan Bashforth accounted for the Tigers.  Bashforth's superb all round display at stand-off earned
him the man of the match award, whilst another great defensive effort from Jordan Hargreaves earned him top tackler and fine defence from Billy Pearson was rewarded with the most improved award.
