Saturday 30th September

 

The Under 10s visited York Acorn and put on an impressive attacking and defensive display of rugby league to seal a great win.  Player of the match Jordan Crowther set the pace with an amazing 4 tries showing that he is back on form, alongside Top Tackler William Simpson.  Most improved player was Adam Hirst, who played with great effort and passion.  The supporters' player was new-comer Will Atkinson who shows great promise for the future of the Blacks scoring 2 tries and converting one. Other try scorers where captain Josh Fox and Chandler Nicholson.

 

Saturday 23rd September

 

Crigg Under 10s put up a valiant fight against Westgate, battling to the final whistle.  The whole team defended well and kept the visitors out on numerous occasions.  Man of the match Ryan Langrick showed excellent defence, tackling players one after the other.  He also showed great attacking ability falling just short of the line.  William Simpson scored the first try and goal of the game, with the other try coming from dummy half by top tackler Chandler Nicholson.  Robert Chadwick claimed the most improved trophy showing a great improvement in his running and his tackling skills.

 

Saturday 16th September

 

The Under 10s were in action in the Co-op festival at Crigglestone, and enjoyed tussles with both Westgate and Walton.

 

Saturday 17th/Sunday 18th June

 

Crigglestone All Blacks U9s rounded off their season with a courageous effort in a tough game against Hunslet, with the Crigg lads coming back time and time again.  Some great defensive work was on display by all players of the team with Jordan Crowther heading the tackle count and scoring a hat-trick of tries.  Once they got the bit between their teeth their attacking play showed some great promise with captain Robert Chadwick and Chandler Nicholson putting in fine performances.  Man of the match Ryan Langrick had an outstanding game, alongside the other tryscorers William Simpson with three and Lucas Asquith. 

 

Saturday 10th/Sunday 11th June

 

Crigglestone All Blacks U9s were back with a bang after the break for school holidays, running in a hat-full of tries in a high scoring match with Normanton.  Man of the match Jordan Crowther led the way with seven tries, whilst most improved player was Lucas Asquith scoring his first ever try after two years of playing.  Further tries were added by
captain Josh Fox and Lee Alderson.  Tiny Ryan Langrick showed excellent technique in defence, bringing down much bigger opposition time and again to earn the top tackler award.
