The Under 9s started their season with a win against an experienced Knottingly side. Tries by Liam Cardall, Sam Johnson, Jordon Boyce, Henry Firth (2), and Liam Senior (2), built on an exceptional defensive performance. This was typified by the

performances of Jimmy Cunnane (Most Improved), Theo Kirkpatrick (Top Tackler), and Sam Johnson (Man of the Match).

Saturday 10th/Sunday 11th June

Crigg U8 put in a good team display both in defence and attack against Doncaster Toll Bar.  The opposition were well drilled and played the ball very quickly, but nothing was going to stop Crigg in this form.

Captain Sam Johnson led the team by example, scoring two tries to earn the man of the match award.  Top Tackler was Jordon Boyce who also added a try alongside Liam Cardall, Theo Kirkpatrick, Sam Tallant, Cameron Adderley, and Liam Senior (2).

However highlight of the day was 'Emerging 8' Niall Fitzsimmons scoring his first ever try, which unsurprisingly led to the youngster being voted Most Improved Player.
